Yes it's hard to believe our darling little Sam has turned 13 years old !

UGH I am now officially the mother of a "TEENAGER" YIKES !

But seriously I couldn't think of a better daughter to have,  she is simply wonderful, in heart, spirit, and as a person.

As we all know, Sam isn't always the most "feminine, so for her 13th birthday I decided a girls day was in order,  I had her hair done and took her to Clinique in Burdines to have her first make up session.  Of course we had to buy some clothes, and then the 2 of us took her friend Kristen out to dinner at the Rice and Company Bistro.  Complete with Sushi and "virgin" daquris, our waiter was kind enough to snap a Mom & daughter picture as I put her locket on her. We listened to the Reggae band, and when the night was thru and we came home,  her dad surprised her with her first date. He met her at the door with a rose and took her to the Macaroni Grill for desert. It was a wonderful Friday night.  When she woke up Saturday May 11th, her actual birthday. Her cake was made, in family tradition she had a 2 tier cake with silk flowers, ( see the second photo on the top row, it's my 13th birthday).  We took a couple photos by the pool.
I have included a couple of Sam's past birthdays, her 1st birthday is pictured first on the top row. Her 3rd birthday is last on the second row. My how she has grown into such a lovely young lady.
